Socialization on Prevention of Cervical Cancer Held in Jakarta

Dept of Social and Health Service Centre for Jakarta Employees is holding Socialization on Prevention of Cervical Cancer in the office of Social Dept, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (11/4).

The socialization itself was attended by 100 participants. They are Social Dept, Education and Training Agency, Tax Service Dept, Spatial Planning Dept, Fire Handling and Rescue Dept, as well as Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP).

Head of Social and Health Service Centre for Jakarta Employees, Nasrun disclosed that it aims to know the symptoms of cervical cancer. Thereby, its prevention can be done early. According to him, such socialization is intended for the entire employee under the city administration. Yet, so far, the response from regional working units (SKPD) is still lacking.

"Whereas, it is very important. Especially for women who become the target of cervical cancer. We hoped, other officials could follow this socialization," he stated.

Meanwhile, Head of Rehabilitation Section for Jakarta Social Dept, Chaidir positively welcomed the activity. Moreover, most of the patients with cervical cancer detected when it had entered an advanced stage.
